NSS volunteers bring laurels for AMU.
On 5th of January, three teams of National Service Scheme (NSS) student volunteers of Aligarh Muslim University have won Swatch Bharat Summer Internship-2019 award for their remarkable cleanliness activities under the Swachhta mission.
The teams were selected for the award by a committee formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, Aligarh.
According to the Public Relations Office of AMU, the team led by Pratiksha Singh including Mohd Sameer Khan, Syed Kamran Ahmad and Mohd Firoz, was awarded the first prize with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 while Laveena Varshney and Muskan Gupta team was adjudged second with a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and Bushra Bano led team was given a cash prize of Rs 10,000 as the third prize, informed Dr Arshad Husain, the Programme Coordinator, NSS (AMU).
Dr Husain has congratulated the winning students on their achievement, adding that the new year beginning with this award will bring more laurels to the university.
