Music band, cricket team and many more by the differently-abled.  Akkara Foundation declared the best centre for the differently-abled in Kerala

Health Minister, K.K Shailaja declared Akkara Foundation Centre for Child Development as the best centre for differently-abled in Kerala. 

Underdeveloped health infrastructures along with the Endosulfan disaster, Kasaragod was in dire need of a child care centre. The Qatar based businessman and philanthropist, Akkara Anees Sahib made all the difference by establishing a child care centre in Muliyar, Kasaragod in the year 2018. 

The Health Minister made the announcement while inaugurating various projects under the Social Justice Department in Kozhikode.  

At present hundreds of newborns are being reported with rare diseases like cerebral palsy, mental retardation, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cancer. Children suffering from these diseases are offered medical services in physical therapy, speech therapy, self-help tools and special helpline.

Akkara music band, the first special children music band in Kerala has already warmed our hearts with their songs going viral on social media and many celebrities sharing them. 

In order to save young children from further degeneration, Anganwadi workers are given special training and an early intervention centre is at work. For their advancement Special-Abled award, employment group by the specially-abled, palliative association and a district cricket team are being held under Akkara Foundation. 

Currently more than 130 families across the state are availing medical benefits from Akkara Foundation.
