With the collaboration of national Samasta Kerala Sunni Students Federation(SKSSF) an educational programme has been launched by Forward Foundation in northeast Delhi.
Riot stricken poor neighbourhoods of Shiv vihar and Mustafabad are economically and educationally backwards.
In order to educationally uplift the children of the community, Forward Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) offers free tuition along with religious education to students of class 9 to 12. Apart from tuition, the institute would provide study tools, scholarships, coaching classes for competitive exams and skill development programmes.
In the aftermath of the Delhi riots of last February, charities poured in, but an empowering educational programme was for the first time, says residents of Shiv Vihar.
Sayyid Hameed Ali Shihab Thangal, chairman of FIAS inaugurated the educational programme. Other eminent participants of the event were KT Jabir Hudawi, convenor of SKSSF National Committee and Sathar Panthallur, state general secretary.
